What it's All About

“That we might glorify God by being a faithful steward in all that is entrusted to our care, and that we might have a positive influence on all the people that we might come in contact with.”

Sound like a pretty good mission statement?  Make the “we” an “I”, and it could be your personal purpose.  But apply it to a major corporation?  Sounds a little too “religious”…I mean, can you imagine IBM or GM or McDonald’s having such a purpose statement?

It belongs to Chick-fil-A, in case you didn’t see where this was going.  And yeah, I’m pretty jazzed to be working for a company where that is the purpose.

  1. Other than “using a preposition to end a sentence with” (as Dr. Craymer used to say), it sounds pretty good.

    • Not at all. Chicken fillet sandwiches are the company’s trademark, hence Chick Fillet, or Chick-fil-A.
